The weather couldn't hold us back from playing our Blue & Gold games on Saturday, June 20th. The threat of rain was in the forecast all week, but the optimistic teams all showed up for their games, which were played to completion. The rain did come and forced our 8th Annual Family Day Barbeque indoors, in the Grace gym. Bassett's still did the barbecuing outside, in the schoolyard, under a tent but the food was laid out on tables in the gym. Bob was his familiar Master of Ceremonies and kept the kids occupied with fun and games for several hours, with races and contests. He even added 'Simon Says" to the list of festivities. Jamie Bianco and Sofia Lattuga would still be Hoola Hooping now, if we hadn't called it a draw. Joseph Gray won Simon Says and Christopher Harris won a Modell's Gift card for winning, Musical Chairs. The Romero family won 2 Cyclone tickets for effortlessly winning, the 3 Legged Race. And then there was the "Thunder Stix". I'm just glad nobody got hurt.
