Parade Information

The season began with our Annual Parade and Opening Day Ceremonies on Saturday, April 28th.  Teams gatherer in the O.L.G. parking lot beginning at 9:30a.m, and entered the church for a Catholic Mass Service at 10:00a.m.   After the service, teams were lined up on Avenue W (in front of the Church) at 11:00a.m.

The Parade route traveled down East 4th Street to Avenue X and continued along Avenue X, crossing McDonald Avenue to West 6th Street and up to Avenue U to West Street , then down to Neck Road to Monsignor Scalafani field, where ceremonies began.  

Once at the ballpark, players and coaches entered the field while parents were asked to stay in the left field stands.  A number of guests were on hand to address the crowd, among them was, Assemblyman Colton, Police Captain from the 61st Precinct along with his platoon of Auxiliary officers, President Chris Ruggiero amongst others.  

The kids were also treated by tables setup along the left field lines by The Police Department, The Brooklyn Cyclones, The Brooklyn Public Library and our own elementary school, Our Lady of Grace.  Each table had giveaways as well as informative handouts for both parents and children.
