        Frank Iovino, Association President, expressed his appreciation on behalf of the children, member volunteers, and executive directors of the association, to our Assemblyman Bill Colton.  Assemblyman Colton has helped secure funding for the operation of the Association for the fiscal year 2004.

        Mr.Iovino stated that the funding would be used towards the purchase of spectator stands, which will be installed at Our Lady of Grace Field, as part of the pending field reconstruction program.  Assemblyman Colton has been a consistent supporter of the children of this community, for many years.  He has also worked to make life a little bit better for all of his constituents, with his work for our senior citizens, and his fight to stop the reopening of the incinerator along Shore Parkway.

        We are most appreciative, especially in these time of fiscal constraints, where every dollar counts.

        The Our Lady Of Grace, Gravesend Athletic Association, Gil Hodges Little League, provides youth sports programs, for boys and girls, from the ages of 5 to 18 years old. The programs for baseball, and softball, are conducted during the spring and summer, and basketball during the fall and winter. The association has been in continuous operation since 1955.
