       Frank Iovino, Association President, expressed his appreciation on behalf of the children, member volunteers, and executive directors of the association, to our City Councilman Domenic M. Recchia Jr, who helped secure funding for the operation of the association for the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2002.

       Mr. Iovino stated that the funding would be used for the purchase of equipment for the associations baseball, softball and basketball programs. Councilman Recchia, has been a consistent supporter of the children of this community, as a member and former president of NYC District School Board #21.  We are most appreciative, especially in these times of fiscal constraints, where every dollar counts. Councilman Recchia can be assured that the award will be used wisely.

       The Our Lady Of Grace, Gravesend Athletic Association, Gil Hodges Little League, provides youth sports programs, for boys and girls, from the ages of 5 to 18 years old. The programs for baseball, and softball, are conducted during the spring and summer, and basketball during the fall and winter. The association has been in continuous operation since 1955.
