       Frank Iovino, Association President, expressed his appreciation on behalf of the children, member volunteers, and executive directors of the association, to our recently elected State Senator Marty Golden, who has helped secure funding in the amount of $3,000.00, for the fiscal year ending April, 2003.

       Mr. Iovino stated that the funding would be used towards the purchase of adjustable basketball backboards, for use by the associations’ younger participants in its Basketball program. For many years, as a former City Council Member, now Senator Golden has been a consistent supporter of the children of the communities he has represented.

     We are most appreciative, especially in these times of fiscal constraints, where every dollar counts. Senator Golden can be assured that this award is being used wisely.

       The Our Lady  f Grace, Gravesend Athletic Associations, Gil Hodges Little League, provides youth sports programs, for boys and girls, from the ages of 5 to 18 years old. The programs for baseball, and softball, are conducted during the spring and summer, and basketball during the fall and winter. The association has been in continuous operation since 1955.
